The pilot's specialty is unique in the world, because even the sky is not the limit for pilot.

Who can I become?

In the speciality of Aircraft Piloting it is possible to specialize to become an aircraft pilot or helicopter pilot.

Pilot needs to know all the instruments and navigation equipment on aircraft board. Pilot communicates with air traffic controllers on the ground who provide pilots with the necessary information for landing, take-off and staying on the right course. Pilot also has to be a able to do teamwork because in addition to the airplane the pilot also manages the crew.

What do I learn?

The standard period of study is four years. During the first two years the main focus is on basic aviation studies and the last two years are devoted to acquiring the theoretical knowledge of piloting followed by flying training.

After successfully passing the theoretical knowledge examinations and rating flights the pilot-trainees receive the Commercial Pilot Licence/Instrument Rating (CPL(A)/IR).

What next?

I liked my exchange semester very much because of the beauty of Estonia and a great nature. I appreciate Tartu for its coziness and friendly people. Estonian Aviation Academy is a great school and especially I loved its familiar atmosphere and the modernity of equipment in studies.

Tartu was my home for almost 5 months and living here was amazing. I loved the modern building of academy, with own sauna, gym, canteen etc. But it was not just about the facilities. The lectures were given at the highest level, focused not only on knowledge, but also development of logical thinking and professional performance. I really enjoyed the time spent in Estonia.
