Artūrs Kokars is an aviation professional with many years of experience in the management of aviation industry, the current director of the Aviation Department at the Ministry of Transport. Acting doctoral student in a field of aviation economics.
He started his career in a leading position at Liepāja and Ventspils regional airports, where he gained considerable experience in both strategic planning and airport infrastructure development. Also, the expertise of the international aviation business has been expanded by working in the management of the ground handling company Havas Latvia, CEO of aeronautical company SJSC “Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme” and advisor to the board at SJSC “Riga International Airport”.
