Important! Academic leave interrupts a residence permit.Academic leave means a period for which a student is released from the obligation to undertake study and research work. You can submit an application for academic leave via the Study Information System Tahvel (Documents → Applications → Academic leave).
The student has the right to take academic leave:
- at one's own request (once up to one year),
- for health reasons (up to two years based on a medical certificate),
- in the case of conscription or alternative service (up to one year),
- to take care of a child (until the child turns three years old based on the child's birth certificate).
