Estonian Aviation Academy offers comprehensive support to developers and operators of unmanned aircraft systems and equipment in testing various technical solutions – from planning to practical testing.
We prepare a test plan based on the client’s goals, taking into account the technical characteristics of the equipment, the nature of flight operations and current regulatory requirements, and support the preparation and conduct of tests.
The drone and communication laboratory of the Estonian Aviation Academy is equipped with modern technical equipment and software solutions, which can be used to test technical solutions in various flight operation scenarios or systems according to the prepared test plan. The air traffic control simulator* allows for the validation of flight procedures and the interaction of unmanned and manned air traffic.
In addition, we assist in the planning and conduct of test flights, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and current legislation. The Estonian Aviation Academy's test environment provides an opportunity to test your technical solutions reliably, purposefully, and in accordance with regulations - using modern laboratory and simulator capabilities and the support of experts in the field.
Estonian Aviation Academy is offering unmanned aircraft design services. On top of that, the Academy has the capability to fabricate prototypes to suit customer’s specs. We offer assistance with choosing the components and software and also help with system configuration.
In addition, we will help to find the best solution when it comes to the manufacturing technology of unmanned aircrafts or their components. The design of aerial vehicles and the development of manufacturing technology is based on expert opinion and experience of aviation specialists in the fields of commercial production.
Estonian Aviation Academy offers different CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analyses, experimental measuring services and field-specific consultations to evaluate the mechanical rigidity/strength/stability, gas-dynamic parameters, electromagnetic emissions and system reliability etc. of different aircrafts.
This service is directed to companies that develop both manned and unmanned aircrafts, and to all other companies that deal with the design and manufacturing of mechanical constructions.
Estonian Aviation Academy offers the opportunity to test different engines, giving the result of the torque, the number of revolutions and, consequently, the maximum power. The parameters of the motors should fit into the following ranges:
Estonian Aviation Academy has the capability to measure and determine the efficiency of propellers, including propellers working in hover flight mode.
The measuring device is able to accommodate the following combinations of propeller and engine:
