The Estonian Aviation Academy’s hangar offers access to both a composite materials lamination workshop and a sheet metal workshop. The hangar is equipped with systems for testing communication and navigation equipment, non-destructive material testing devices (e.g. eddy current NDT testing), as well as material processing and testing equipment (e.g. milling machine, lathe). The hangar has a total area of 1000 m².
Additionally, the lab equipment includes portable testing devices used for inspecting aircraft systems.

The composite workshop enables the manufacturing and repair of composite parts and the creation of lamination molds. Materials used include carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and hybrid fabrics. Both wet and vacuum lamination methods are applied. The entire process is monitored and controlled via a dedicated lamination control system.
The sheet metal workshop is equipped with modern tools and devices for aviation-specific sheet metal work. It includes pneumatic hand tools and specialized aviation tools for sheet metal. The lab also has devices for cutting, bending, rolling, and shaping complex 3D curved components (e.g., using an English wheel). Thermal treatment of materials can also be conducted.
Machining operations are performed using a manual lathe and a 3-axis CNC milling machine. Products and parts can be inspected using non-destructive methods such as eddy current testing, magnetic particle inspection, or dye penetrant inspection.
Portable testing devices for aircraft systems are also available.
