Discussion "How on Earth do airlines make money?" at the academy on October 2
In a panel bringing together international experts, the discussion will focus on how money is made within an airline, with representatives from two operators sharing behind-the-scenes insights.
- Allan Suimets – Head of Business Development at Marabu Airlines OÜ. His extensive aviation and management experience comes from working in several Estonian and international aviation companies. Allan is also a graduate of the Estonian Aviation Academy.
- Brynjar Már Karlsson – Engineer and innovator. He has worked for years at the international airline Icelandair, where he currently serves as Director of Business Services.
- Dr. Sunder Raghavan – Professor of Finance at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has published in several journals, authored two books on aviation finance, and co-authored the textbook Aircraft Financing and Leasing: Tools for Success in International Aircraft Acquisition and Management. By the way – this very book is also used as study material at the Aviation Academy.
The public discussion will take place in room B203, starting at 12:00 PM and lasting approximately 1.5 hours.
The discussion will be moderated by Talvar Tari, Head of the Aviation Services Department.
