Tomas Tluchor is a PhD student at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Transportation Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Air Transport. He is also a researcher in the UAS research team, Department of Air Transport and he is currently involved in SESAR research projects for the Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic.
His work in the field of unmanned aircraft systems began while researching methodology for comparing detection systems against UAS. He has experience with the integration of unmanned aircraft systems into very low level airspace. Now his main focus is on Urban Air Mobility (assessing the suitability of urban deployment, etc.). His current work deals with the design of a methodology for evaluating the suitability and efficiency of Urban Air Mobility in defined areas.
In the field of the University, he is involved in lecturing professional courses, designing and managing scientific projects and supervising student theses. He is the author of several scientific publications, such as Division of VLL into Specific Airspaces for UAS Operation, Methodology for Inspecting the Correctness of the Function of Airport Lighting Systems Using a Commercially Available UAS or The Methodology of Counter-UAS System Comparison.
