Objective/outcome of the H2COVE project is to equip the European workforce with the right and necessary high quality vocational skills for industries in the emerging value chains for a hydrogen economy.
The project will promote knowledge exchange between partner regions (Austria, Norway, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Estonia) and develop new courses, modules, and educational programs. The goal is to train academic staff at various levels through "train the trainer" formats and create 25 training sessions, including one MOOC course on "hydrogen aviation." Altogether, at least 1,000 professionals are expected to be trained.
Additionally, the project plans to organize an international project-based student skills competition and aims to encourage the writing of at least 12 research papers - including bachelor’s and master’s theses — across the partner regions to increase hydrogen-related research output.
The Estonian Aviation Academy supports the local hydrogen ecosystem by mapping the process and contributes to the development and piloting of the MOOC on hydrogen aviation. Through this, the Academy aims to promote innovation and knowledge-sharing in the field of sustainable aviation and hydrogen technologies.
Project period: 01.03.2024-29.02.2028, whereas Estonian Aviation Academy participated 01.03.2024-30.11.2025.
