Estonian Aerospace Non-Destructive Testing Board (EANDTB) is an independent Aerospace organization as defined by EN4179 and NAS410 Annex C and co-ordinates the the NDT activities of Part-145 maintenance organisations and Part 21 production organisations in Estonia.
The Board is based on the requirements of the Commission Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014, II (Part-145) and the Estonian Transport Administration approval (decision No 1.1-2/25/37 in Estonian).
Main goals and aims of the board are following:
Fulfill Estonia’s requirements for establishing a National Aerospace NDT Board as mandated by EASA part 145, EN4179, and other applicable regulations.
Act as custodian for all matters relating to employer-based certification within the Estonian aerospace sector.
Provide support and guidance to employers and Responsible Level 3s required to comply with EN4179.
Control NDT personnel training and examinations through oversight of a third-party audit and approval program.
Where necessary, establish specific Estonian policy regarding the implementation of EN4179 requirements.
Establish policies and processes for qualifying NDT personnel in new and emerging NDT technologies.
Provide a mechanism for interpretation, adjudication, and arbitration in cases of dispute regarding EN4179 and Estonian Non-Destructive Testing Board (ENDTB) policies and procedures.
Seek recognition of its policies and procedures through the Aerospace NDT Board Forum and other pertinent organizations to benefit the Estonian industry.
Recognize personnel qualifications achieved under the control of other National Aerospace NDT Boards that are members of the Aerospace NDT Board Forum.
Be a member of the Aerospace NDT Board Forum and comply with ANDTBF_08.
Provide guidance to Aviation Authorities regarding regulations pertaining to NDT personnel certification.
